From the A1 Highway (Autostrada del Sole): Take the exit “Firenze Impruneta”. Follow the freeway toward Siena. Exit “San Casciano Val di Pesa”. Follow the road for a few kilometers up the hill, but before entering the San Casciano town, turn right towards “Empoli-Cerbaia”. After approx. 3 km, you’ll see on your left, a cluster of majestic green cypress trees – they mark the entrance of Villa il Poggiale.

From the town centre of Florence, which is nearly 17 kilometers away, you can reach San Casciano Val di Pesa, a town 2 kilometers away from Villa Il Poggiale, taking the “Sita” bus each 30/40 minutes. The bus from San Casciano Val di Pesa to Florence takes about 30 minutes and the bus end of line is in an absolutely central position, opposite to S.Maria Novella station.

There are very few bus lines stopping at Villa Il Poggiale. We recommend our guests to get there by car or to rent one, in order to move around independently and to better enjoy the surrounding area beauties. For people who doesn’t want to drive, we recommend to contact the local carhiring with driver service, which we work in close cooperation with. We can organize transfers to and from airports or stations, as well as one-day excursions or a few hours trips.

From the town centre of Florence

Distance: 17 km (10 mi.) - Reaching Villa Il Poggiale from the town centre is very easy: it takes about 25 minutes by car. Exit the city following the road directions towards “Siena” and take the highway “Firenze – Siena”. We recommend to exit at “San Casciano Val di Pesa” and continue on the road towards the town of San Casciano. Take the exit towards “Empoli – Cerbaia” at the roundabout at the entrance of the town and then continue in that direction, running along and leaving the town. After nearly two kilometers, signaled by several signs, on your left you will find Villa Il Poggiale, a peach-colored villa surrounded by cypresses..

From Florence airport

Distance: 35 km (22 mi.) - The Florence Peretola “Amerigo Vespucci” airport is a 40-minute drive away to Villa Il Poggiale. Leave the airport taking the highway A11 and, once arrived at “Firenze Nord”, take the highway towards “Roma”. Exit at “Firenze Impruneta” and take the highway “Firenze – Siena” (turn right exiting the toll booth). We recommend to exit at “San Casciano Val di Pesa” and continue on the road towards the town of San Casciano. Take the exit towards “Empoli – Cerbaia” at the roundabout at the entrance of the town and then continue in that direction, running along and leaving the town. After nearly two kilometers, signaled by several signs, on your left you will find Villa Il Poggiale, a peach-colored villa surrounded by cypresses.

From Pisa Airport

Distance: 85 km (53 mi.) - The Pisa “Leonardo da Vinci” airport is a 50-minute drive away to Villa Il Poggiale. Leave the airport taking the highway “Pisa – Firenze” (FI-PI-LI) and exit at “Ginestra Fiorentina”. Then follow the directions towards “Cerbaia – San Casciano Val di Pesa”. Once arrived at Cerbaia, continue on the upward road towards “San Casciano Val di Pesa” and, after nearly 4 kilometers, signaled by several signs, on your right you will find Villa Il Poggiale, a peach – colored villa surrounded by cypresses.
